Dwarf Tossing

New development to keep me from updating.  I recently got a new computer.  It has Vista. Canon, in their infinite wisdom, have decided to update all their scanner drivers to Vista, EXCEPT the one I own.  so, in short, I can't scan any comics to update, as my scanner now has all the functionality of a paperweight.  Once again, I have absolutely no idea when I will be able to update this comic, a I can't afford a brand new, Vista compatible scanner at this time.  Srry folks, the long period of no updates continues, and Im almost about ready to just give up at this point.


Old : Ok, I know updates have been very slim lately, but alot of shit was constantly being shoveled on top of me for the past year, theres still a couple hurdles idiots are trying to throw at me, but now things are just starting to look up, I'll be updating soon, just once I move and get internet se up at whatever place i end up in.  got a job now, all done with classes, but a douchebag new landlord decided to evict everyone so she can renovate and double the rent, so looking for a new place sort of takes priority, but will be updating again soon, I'm not letting DT die yet.  look for updates in July

Ok, finally updated after so many months of nothing, between trying to get a damn job in a town that hates to hire people, (and it's starting to get to me) owing my brother a ton of cash and feeling like a general mooch to friends and family, classes getting in gear again, and a general depression over my situation that will normally take a ton of beer for me to openly admit to, plus a few weeks of no internet due to switching service, it's pretty much distracted me from updating.  but I finally updated, I may be a poor, broke, unemployed student with no cash, but at least i finally did an update.

As far as my situation goes, I finally bit the bullet and sent an application to Wal-mart, so unless a miracle happens and one of the dicks in this town I've sent an application to actually get's off their ass and hires me, looks like I might be back in wally-world in a few weeks, yay.  So yeah, right now I'm full of piss and vinigar over this, never had this hard a time getting hired before in my life, no matter how the economy was, until i came to new paltz.

This weekend I will be at NY comi-con though, it's free through the school (so far)  might not have cash for food in the city, but at least I can go there.  pretty much trying to get some CD's with my portfolio made up to give to some of the publishers there, and maybe print up some DT cards if I get time between classes and looking in vain for jobs.

(and the first person to use the economy as an excuse for this gets a foot up their ass)

My friend Jim , of Catomix, put this on Youtube, originally he was going to make a documentary of our trip to Otakon, but that sort of fell through, but he's taken the footage and is making short vids with it, this would of been the opening to his documentary, kind of follows the opening to JLA unlimited.  I'm the guy in the Megatron costume, Reidimus is Stubbs the Zombie, our friend KC is the skinny white Carlito, and Ty-LOR the Terrible is the hunchbacked geek.  also shows some footage from our Transformers panel we had there.









and I have found the greatest Youtube video ever, this guy dressed up as the merchant from RE4 and hung around a strip mall just annoying random people, it's friggin great!

Just found out, Wizkids, the company responsable for all the clix games (mageknight, heroclix, horrorclix) and the POTCC card/naval game is getting shut down by Topps,the company that bought them.

So first, Topps mismanages Wizkids, not showing much support, messing up alot of the thing Wizkids had going with their customers (they actually had been pretty responsive and supportive, at least until Topps got their hands on them).
according to comixmix.com:
  Topps CEO Scott Silverstein commented, “This was an extremely difficult decision. But in light of the current economic conditions, we feel it is necessary to align our gaming initiatives more closely with Topps current sports and entertainment offerings which are already being developed within our New York office.”  WizKids is based in Seattle, Washington. In its statement announcing the closing of WizKids, Topps also indicated that it was pursuing “strategic alternatives so that viable brands and properties, including HeroClix, can continue without any noticeable disruption.”
Bullshit, Topps just wanted the rights to Heroclix.
All i can say is, Topps can kiss my ass.
