Todd began his first career, the year he graduated high school, as a video
and audio specialist, in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He found his way
into the production industry by
cold contacting various companies nearby and offering his services of custom
music production and access to his music, which he wrote and recorded while
still in high school. He ended up working for one of those companies as
a "Film Technician", "Video Editor" and "Music Director"
After 3 years of daily post - production experience, he turned
to another challenge, the US Air Force. Enlisting
as a Biomedical Equipment Repair Technician (BMET), he began another career
that took him across the United States and then across the Atlantic and
back again.
While stationed at Los Angeles AFB, CA, Todd was injured in a motorcycle
accident and nearly lost his right leg, below the knee. He was wheelchair-bound
for 2 years and his recovery has continued.
Medically retired from the USAF, Todd returned to school for additional training in 3D Computer Arts to become a Visual Effects Artist, working as a technical advisor and VFX Generalist. In December 2005 Todd earned his Bachelors of Fine Art in Visual Effects Animation & Compositing from The Academy of Art
University, in San Francisco, CA.
Considered by some to be a renaissance man, he now meets the needs of production companies and individual producers around the Bay Area as a multi-role player in the fields of:
