Durbin Daycare

Welcome to Durbin Daycare. We are a family based daycare licensed by the Maryland State Department of Education. We are committed to making a difference in the lives of children.

                            My name is Jill Durbin and I am the owner and operator of Durbin Daycare. I am thirty threeyears old and I have been in this field since high school. I have worked in many schools and taught at La Petite Academy. I have even worked with special needs children in a school setting. I have a wide variety of amazing references. I enjoy what I do and would not trade it for anything.

                     I have three beautiful daughters ages 15,10 and 8 years. I lost my only son in 2002 at the age of six to a rare muscle disease. He was such a brave,happy and loving little boy! I am married to Mike Durbin and he is a HUGE part of this daycare. He gets just as attached to the children as I do and spends his days off helping me with them. They all adore him. I call him the baby whisperer. He can calm babies faster then anyone I know. Its too cute.

                              My home is clean and safe for children of all ages. We are a firearms,smoke,drug,and alcohol free home. We have followed very stringent guidelines provided by the Anne Arundel County Fire Marshall and the Office of Child Care to ensure you we are a very safe environment.

                        I am CPR&First Aid certified. I am also SIDS trained and certified and 90 hour certified. I take classes every two years for daycare enhancement.

                         I would like to one day open a center of my own outside of the home. I would like to change the way centers are ran and I think I could make a difference. Its a future goal. What I have seen in the centers I have worked in were enough to scare anyone. I feel bad for children who are placed in centers. Their parents are made to believe they are in a safe situation when in fact they are not especially infants. So my future goal is an important one to me.
