Buddy AAD SAAD MAAD AATD AAGD FDX FDA

Buddy and me began our life together in May 2000, he was rescued from the RSPCA Shelter at Bundaberg, we started training together in September of that year at the local obedience club, this was where i had our first view of Dog Agility and i knew that this was what he needed and would love as a working breed, so we quickly went through the lower classes and started his Agility Training.

Buddy has taught me a lot not only in dog training but in dog behaviour, we have worked through quite a few issues he had to be where we are today... He enjoys spending time on the couch sometimes rather than training.. but is always ready for a game with the ball or frisbee...

AGILITY

Whilst at the obedience club we wern't doing as well as i hoped so i began my research about Agility Training and came across ADAA - the Agility Dog Association of Australia. Adaa was holding an Agility camp so we attended and learnt lots, especially about Positive training methods which lead us to the Fraser Coast Agility Club in Maryborough QLD, and back to square one almost with his Agility Training, it was a long hard road with him and we almost gave up after his first competition, but due to the kindness of the ADAA people we learnt to deal with the problems we had and were able to start successfully competing in Agility with some success, we earnt his AAD-Australian Agility Dog Title in August of 2004 at a double header in Ipswich, which then put us into the next level of competition and for the next 3 years we worked on our training program whilst still competing and managed gaining a couple Clear Round certificates, and also started competing in the various games held in ADAA competitions and he requires 1 qualifying round in Snooker to gain his AAGD-Australian Agility Games Dog...

Easter 2007 we made the trek to Yamba, NSW for a triple Agility Trial where we gained 4 clear round in Intermediate to gain his SAAD-Senior Australian Agility Dog Title.

Buddy is doing well in competitions and has 4 Clear round certificates - 3 in Open and 1 in Advanced as well as the game Qualifying cards needed towards his MAAD title

We have also started his team dog title and he has gained 2 Qualifying certificates just 1 more to go...

Buddy gains his AATD title at the FCAD Easter Classic held at Burrum Heads 23rd/24th March 2008 thankyou to Chipper and Amber for being part of the team to give him his last card needed...

DOGMANIA 2008 3rd,4th,5th May

well what an event an awesome turnout of competitors from 5 different doggy sports, Buddy was entered in the agility Rounds...

Sat first up was Snooker, Buddy ran clear with enough points for a qualifying pass... Came 2nd place and earned his last card needed for his AAGD- Australian Agility Games Dog Title...may have taken him 2 years to get it but it was worth the wait...  and he also earned a spot in the Snooker Finals on Monday... We had a good time in the rest of the rounds just a few minor faults...

Sun first up was Open Jumping, Buddy started the day off well again running clear and earning another card towards his MAAD title... came in at 4th place so just missed out on the finals... Next event was open Gamblers, Buddy ran clear again gaining enough points in the opening and successfully completing the Gamble in 4th place again with his last game card needed for his MAAD Title... but again just missed out on the finals...

Buddy needs 1 card either Jumping or Agility to gain his MAAD Title, he will then achieve his AAC- Australian Agility Champion Title, for gaining his MAAD, AATD & AAGD Titles

FLYBALL

Buddy and i have been training for Flyball on and off over the last couple years and we finally managed to put it all together in 2007 and joined up with some old Gladstone friends and new Maryborough friends to enter his first competition in April 2007, our team ran really well and managed to be undefeated in our Division and win the event with Buddy earning 20 points and securing his FD- Flyball Dog and FDX- Flyball Dog Excellent Titles at his first competion.

CANINE DISC

Or Frisbee as known mostly by some people, another sport Buddy just loves.  We started training in 2007 and competed in the QLD Disc Dog Championships in June 2007, we done really well over 2 Novice Toss and Fetch rounds, to earn 2 Qualifying Cards to go towards his FDA- Frisbee Dog Achievment, and overall 2nd place.

Buddy was entered into his first competition for quite sometime, at the Brisbane City Disc Championships on 27th July 2008, 2 great rounds with 2 Qualifying Cards to give him his FDA title, amd 4th place in the novice Toss and Fetch, he also earned his first Qualifying Card towards his FDG title with a 4th place in the time trial game...
