Cannot use a shield
Wooden weapons only (no blades on ends of sticks, or nail through the side - the wood bit must cause the damage) wooden spikes on a pole can act as sharp weapons if phys rep shows it
Must roleplay being in permanent contact with the other side in some way (eg talking to people not there, hearing whispers, seeing shadows – although the Shaman is used to this he does still see / hear / feel it all and must react)
Needs to use lots of props to contain all their magical focus (or spells cost double rips)
(These props may highlight the superstitious / paranoid nature of the shaman, they always consult the other side before making decisions - this is a suggestion of roleplay technique for the shaman)
Can use bows / x-bows (subject to passing a safety test beforehand by a ref) – no thrown items (they may be useful as focus items???)
Spell Calls can be "by the power of the ancestors" or "spirits of those that have passed" etc
Shamans can take 6 Magic Items into a game.
There is no limit to the number of Magic Items a character can own, but taking more than the designated number into a game may well result in one or more Magic Items exploding, damaging the character.
Shaman level 1

Fear – Shaman summons the image of a really scary dead thing that 1 target runs away in fear of its life for 10 meters. Call “By the power of the ancestors fear level 1” (Costs 1 rip) (This will not work on undead / spirits but still costs 1 rip)

Raise Dead – The Shaman using all his powers and concentration roleplays over 1 fallen target for 30 seconds. The target then becomes an undead creature under the control of the shaman. The creature gains all the stats that it had before it died (including spell rips and per day calls – Magical items the undead has will not have their item re-usable if used). The creature will continue to operate as long as the shaman concentrates on it. When this stops or the creature runs out of hit points then the creature falls to the ground in a pool of dust – any magical items it had have NOT been destroyed. (Costs 5 rips)
