OUR NEW BEGINNING…….whelped on March 3, 2008. Tabitha produces the first tri smooth since 1999 for Dune Collies. Her name is DIVA. I was elated that I finally have a tri smooth bitch produced from my girls. We had chosen Jackpot because he could correct the faults that Tabitha had. I was looking for more bone, a nice finish and more underjaw, more muzzle, and of course, better eye checks. Jackpot, a glorious sable and white rough, was a normal eyed/non carrier for CEA. Breeding him to Tabitha, who was mild CEA, would produce normal eyed/carriers. When the pups were born we could tell that Jackpot had delivered exactly what was needed. He complimented Tabitha so well.

Diva is now almost six months old and I couldn’t be happier. She is everything I had envisioned. She has both of her parents temperaments, lots of bone, an exquisite headpiece, plenty of muzzle and underjaw, and she is normal eyed. This is what I had been striving for…..but I had to go to Canada to get it. Diva’s story is far from complete, but it’s going to be a great adventure.
