JUST IN!
Despite the Flood of 2008, the Dan Gable International Wrestling Institute and Museum will be providing weresting artifacts and memorabilia to be viewed at the 2008 Dum Dum Con! We are pleased that you will be able to take part in the wrestling history as promised. If there is interest in viewing the damage done by the floods to the building, and if safety is able to be assured, the Museum may offer tours of the building as well. We'll keep you posted!

We are happy to announce that the Iowa Comic Book Club has arranged for Thomas Floyd, Illustrator & Cartoonist, to attend the Comic Book Jungle at the 2008 Dum Dum Convention! Floyd has illustrated many Burroughs books including editions of Tarzan of the Apes, Pirates of Venus,The Moon Maid & more! Click on Iowa Comic Book Club to the right for more details.
FLOODING
We are still on schedule despite flooding in the downtown area of Waterloo. The Dan Gable International Wrestling Institute & Museum, however, has not fared so well. Due to extensive damage, the museum will be closed until recovery is completed. They would appreciate any monetary contributions to aid them in the recovery and restoration of the historical preservation of wrestling.

Our room block has been released and the Ramada Hotel is now full. We are actively searching for available hotels and they will be posted as we get the information.

The Quality Inn & Suites has some for Friday & some for Saturday, though if you are staying both nights you may need to switch rooms. This is the closest alternate hotel to the Convention Center: 800-466-8356
