NARR - North American Rat Registry is an invaluable tool for breeders. They record and store information on thousands of rats, which can be accessed by its members. All of my litters are registered with them.

RSA - Rat Society of America works toward improving the rat fancy by creating guidelines for standards & shows, promoting ethical breeding, and educating the public on rats. It is the parent organization for many USA rat clubs, such as NIRO.

NIRO - Northern Illinois Rat Organization is an RSA affiliated club dedicated to the health, care and promotion of the fancy rat species. This club's member are mostly in Illinois, but there are other members scatters across the states.

The Ratster - This is a good web site. The Ratster has, among other information, links to a lot of breeders by their prefixes, their location, and what specific traits they breed for.

Rat Breeder Listing - This is a smaller site of breeder indexes. Like The Ratster, but not as extensive.

Rodent Breeders URL - This is a site that is obviously dedicated to Rodent Breeders only.  This is a good search engine if you are looking for any type of small animal.

Martin's Cages - This is the perfect site to go to for cages for most small animals. They have good prices and the cages are great.

Barry Farm Foods - They sell a wide variety of foods, including grains, dried fruits and vegetables, pastas, cereals, nuts and seeds. Ashley recommends Granola, Oats, Flax Seed, Sunflower Seeds, Whole Wheat Veggies Pasta and Soy Pasta.

Just Tomatoes - They ship dried fruits, vegetables and soy nuts. Organic is also available. Ashley recommends: Tomatoes, Bell Peppers, Carrots, Corn, Peas, Mangos, Apples, Bananas, Pineapples, Peaches, Blueberries, and Soy Nuts.

Drs Foster & Smith - Great place to go for bedding, food, treats and toys. Ashley recommends Kaytee SoftSorbent, Kaytee Wood Pellets, Healthy Toppings, Yogies, cage accessories (hammocks, play tunnels, ect), Chewbular Play Tubes, Nature's Miracle Stain and Odor Remover.

TheRatShop - One of the few places that ships Harlan Teklad rodent diets. Also good for bedding, food and treats. Ashley recommends AlphaDri bedding and Harlan Teklad lab blocks.

Nilodor - Great place to find supplies for pet stains and odors. Ashley recommends: Small Animal Deodorizing Cage Cleaner, Cat Litter Deodorizing Additive and Tap-A-Drop.

Meijer - That's right, even grocery stores and supermarkets have great deals on critter supplies! Ashley recommends: Rice Puffs, Wheat Puffs, Toasted Oats, 3 Flavor Rotini Pasta, Granola and Baby Food.

Sweet Genes Rattery - I adopted SGR Can't Helping Falling In Love from Debbie Fratini.

Soleil Rattery - I adopted SOL Sputnik of DT from Drusilla Flowers.

Blaze Craze Rattery - Jennifer Pare adopted DT Amaya from the Halloween 2005 Litter and DT Mebsuta from the Astronomy 2006 Litter.

Outside of IL:

GoGrow Royal Rattery - (Located in MO) Aimee Crow & her son Jameson adopted from the Fast Food 2005 Litter, and then entered the world of "professional" breeding.
