The Spirit of AKA
We, as members of the Iota Mu Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha, recognize the importance of upholding exceptionally high moral and ethical standards. As scholars, we value achievement within the realm of academia. As activists, we understand the importance of giving back to both the Duke and Durham communities. The National Program theme for 2002-2006 administration is "The Spirit of Alpha Kappa Alpha". It is within the "Spirit" that Iota Mu hosts a variety of programs to better serve our community that fall within five targets: Education, Black Family, Health, Economics, Arts. Current Iota Mu programming dates/events are listed below.
