[ 1st Duelist City Tournament ]

Duelist City Rules

Duel Disks- Every participant in Duelist City must have a duel-disk. Since you will be walking around a lot, you won’t be able to just site on the floor and duel. You can get a Duel-Disk at Toys R Us. If your parents will not allow you to get one, I’m sure if they read this, they will.

Note to parents: This may not be an official Yu-Gi-Oh! Tournament, but we did spend money on it. We used $2,000 to prepare this Tournament. Please understand if your kids want to be in the most Ultimate Yu-Gi-Oh event of the year.

Anyway, if its no to that, you could walk around with a little table to duel people, but, I would still recommend a duel-disk.

Deck Masters- Each participant chooses a monster to represent their deck. Once you choose your Deck Master, it cannot and will not be changed. You will receive your Deck

Challenge Cards- 2 Challenge cards will be received when you sign up for the Tournament, you must collect 8 Challenge Cards in order to participate in the finals.

Spectators- Spectators will be watching so you do not steal, play Japanese cards or change your Deck Master.

Fields- No field cards are allowed in this tournament. Instead, before you start every duel, you pick your field and it cannot be changed. The chooses are:

·          Fire – Volcanic Blast

·          Water – Umi

·          Dark – Yami

·          Toon – Toon World

·          Earth – Sogen

·          Mountain – Mountains

Each card powers up the monster by 300 attack and defense points.

Field Advance- The field card advance is activated when you have one or 2 monsters of the same type on the field. You must also sacrifice 2 cards from your hand. Field advance stops block trap effects and powers up your monster by 600 instead of 300.

Don’t like a card? Destroy it- If you have a card in your hand that you don’t like, you can destroy it and draw a new card by sacrificing 500 life points. *TIP* This card comes in handy if you have Solemn Wishes on the field.

Deck Masters (again)- Deck Masters cannot be attributed, because once attributed, well….you’ll lose. Once Deck Master dies you lose the duel. No trap holes or any destroying trap cards will work on him if your summoning you deck master from behind you, to the field. That would not be fair.

Bet- You may bet cards or Challenge cards if you want before a duel. (if you don’t bet Challenge cards, you won’t get any new ones to enter the finals……duh……)
