Hello there and welcome to the website of the Dublin South branch of Young Fine Gael.
Young Fine Gael is the only vehicle for young people to seek political change in this country. As an autonomous youth organisation, it has the advantage of embodying the values of the senior Party, while maintaining the independence to express views, which are not always necessarily in harmony with those of Fine Gael. Young fine Gael provides a unique momentum in the Party by challenging and provoking its elected representatives and offering a fresh perspective.
The second AGM of the Dublin South Branch of YFG was held in the run up to the General Election. Two and half years year since the branch was launched by former leader Alan Dukes, the membership is in the high 50s. The General Election was a huge success for the party locally and nationally. In Dublin South YFG were prominent with all 3 candidates and the election of two Fine Gael Deputies was a cause for much celebration .
The branch will now go into recess over the Summer break but we intend to come back refreshed & revived with the dual aims of further increasing our membership numbers and also preparing for the Local elections, an event which will no doubt see particular YFG interest.
We will keep everyone up to date via this site, to be included on our mailing list drop a line to paulgobrien@gmail.com
I hope you see you all again soon,
Alan Gallagher
Chair
Dublin South YFG
