Dereham kicked off and the game had a lively start with both defences being called upon to deal with early attacks in a swirling wind.
A swift break from Jordan put him clear of the visitors defence but unfortunately no Dereham player could get on the end of his cross.
Both teams were pushing forward but it was the visitors who took the lead with a well struck shot which found the top corner to put them 1-0 up.
Dereham were soon on the attack again and a strong tackle by Daniel won the ball and his pass found Dion who threaded the ball through to Jordan who turned well and released Reece who made no mistake with his finish for the equaliser 1-1.
Emily replaced Nikos and both teams created further chances but the half finished all square.
Thorpe kicked off the second half but Dereham were soon on the attack again with Jordan going clear but his effort was blocked by the keepers legs and the ball eventually came out to Dion whose well measured shot found the back of the net for a great finish to give his side a 2-1 lead.
Thorpe had an effort clear the bar whilst Jordan saw another shot blocked by the keeper and Anthony made a full length save to put the ball out for a corner which his defence cleared.
Shane and Stanley replaced Daniel and Tommy as Dereham continued forward and a corner taken by Dion picked out Jack whose header found Jordan and he made no mistake with his shot to put Dereham 3-1 up.
The game then became an end to end affair with both sides pushing and Anthony made another good save from a Thorpe free kick and then from the resulting corner before smothering the ball after a great block by Nicholas as Dereham ran out 3-1 winners.

Saint Andrews saw a shot hit the bar and Daniel F came on for Shane as Dereham went in with a half time lead.
The second half saw shots from Nicholas and Reece saved and Saint Andrews hit the post as the game started to open up.
A well taken corner by Dion eluded everyone and crossed the line to give Dereham a 2-0 lead and this was quickly followed by a shot from Reece which went in off the bar to put them 3-0 up.

Dereham Town Under 11’s entertained Salhouse on Sunday with Kane in goal, Matthew, Nicholas and Gareth in defence, Jack, Emily, Tommy, Nikos and Dion in midfield and Reece and Daniel up front.
Dereham kicked off creating several early chances and took the lead after good work by Emily saw the ball drop for Tommy who drilled his shot home for 1-0.

The home defence was performing well with their midfield controlling the game and another run by Reece found Daniel who finished well for 3-0.
Dereham continued to create chances and it was a deflected shot by Daniel that saw them go in at half time with a healthy 4-0 lead.
The second half saw Anthony, Shane and Sam replace Matthew, Emily and Gareth and Daniel was soon through but saw his shot saved by the keeper.
Reece was causing the visitors problems but was denied further goals by the woodwork and the Salhouse keeper who blocked one effort only to see the ball fall to Daniel whose control and finish made it 5-0 and earned him his hat trick.
The home side seemed to take their foot off the accelerator which allowed Salhouse to score two late goals to make it a 5-2 home win for Dereham.

Dereham Town Under 11’s travelled to table toppers Fakenham on Sunday with Kane in goal, Anthony, Matthew, Nicholas and Jack in defence. Shane, Emily, Tommy and Dion in midfield and Reece and Nikos up front.
The game had an even start, but the determination of a Fakenham striker during a defensive scramble saw him score to put the home side in front.
Dereham continued to push forward looking for an equaliser and the pace of Reece was causing problems for the home defence in what became an even end to the first half.
Fakenham kicked off a second half that saw early Dereham substitutions with Daniel and Gareth replacing Shane and Nikos.
Some good Dereham play released Reece who bore down on the Fakenham goal and was unlucky to see his shot go wide for what would have been a deserved equaliser.
However another goalmouth scramble was capitalised on by Fakenham and the ball found it’s way into the Dereham net to put them two goals up.
Sam came on for Anthony and Daniel was unlucky with a fierce shot that hit the keepers legs and was cleared.
More determined play by Reece saw him heading towards the Fakenham goal again but this time he was denied by a well timed last ditch tackle.
The game ended with a win for the home side but Dereham put in a good team performance which with a bit of luck could have seen them come away with at least a point.

DTFC took the following squad Kane, Ant, Tricky, Jack, Matty C, Dion, Gareth, Em, Nikos, Shane, Reece & Tom C
The game started at a quick pace with strong winds and sticky pitch. Dereham started well with some good chances made from some good passing with Mulbarton's keeper saving from Reece well.
Mulbarton, after 10mins, had their first chance and after a strong run and great strike saw Dereham go 1 down against the run of play. Dereham then equialised with a well worked move with Gareth shooting low into the bottom corner. Dereham then applied pressure but went behind again with the same strong run and a fantastic strike into the top corner.

Second half saw both teams blown all over the pitch with Dereham playing up the slope. The game was quite even then Mulbarton pushed forward with Dereham taken the only two chances in the second half with Nikos scouring and Dion completing his hat-trick. Excellent game with Dereham showing great spirit and commitment to come back twice to win the game 2-6.

DTFC travelled to Costessey on a typical wet & windy October Sunday playing on a wet pitch with the ball zipping around - the first 5 mins could have gone either way.
Dereham started with Kane, Matty C, Gareth, Tricky, Tommy, Dion, Daniel S, Emily, Nikos, Shane, Reece with Daniel F & Sam W on the bench.
Dereham then got an opening with Dion clearing well from the half way line and good chasing from Reece gave him a half change, with some good skills Reece made it 1-0.Emily batted well and but a high ball into the box for Reece's second goal after 10mins. Costessey who were a well organisied and strong team got a goal back and were pushing forward well but Dereham were playing some of the best flowing football off the season scored 2 more in 5 minutes with Reece scoring two similar goals both rounding the keeper with a cool finish.
After some great defending from Tommy, Tricky, Gareth and Matty C......... Dion then got into the act and with some good work scoring his first, then within a minute Dion scored his second with the goal of the game with a shot from outside the box.
Half time 6-2
Second half saw Costessey push for forward, with Dereham doing the same it left both teams out of shape with both teams having few chances. Towards the end of the second half, some great saves from Kane, saw Dereham get the only goal of the second with a cross from Dion which drifted into the far post.
Get team performance with Dereham winning 7-2

DTFC entertained Rocklands on another balmy Sunday afternoon. The home side started with Gareth in goal deputising for the unavailable Kane and the injured Ant, playing behind Tommy Blowers, Jack, Tricks & Sam Wilson with Nikos, Dion, Screenie & Emily in midfield with Reece & Shane upfront.
Both sides played some lovely football with DTFC taking the lead through a sweetly struck shot from Nikos that had ‘goal’ written all over it from the 1st touch. Rocklands pushed hard taking a deserved equaliser but the last period of the 1st ½ belonged to Dereham who bombarded the Rocklands Goal only prevented by some of the best (visiting) goalkeeping we have seen this season.
Dereham started the 2nd ½ with Tom Cockaday on for Sam – the game continued to flow end to end with both teams working hard with Rocklands taking the lead through 2 well taken goals, the score not reflecting the game … Dereham introduced Daniel Foster upfront who was soon in the thick of it.
Dereham continued to press with many opportunities during the last 10 and were rewarded with another goal from Reece our highest scorer to-date in the closing moments.
The game finished 2-3 but both sides can take credit from a thoroughly enjoyable game well played!
Man of the Match Dion

Match report to follow; once i have it ... but for now Dereham played without Reece, our highest scorer and without either goalkeeper although i am told that Gareth had an excellent game between the sticks!
PS: Also missing our match Reporter ... Good Luck Ant we hope to see you playing again asap!
Let's win the next one!
Dereham entertained fellow top of the table Fakenham on Sunday, Dereham starting with Gareth in goal, playing behind Tom C, Tommy B, Jack & Tricky in defence with Nikos, Shane, Emily & Dion in midfield with Daniel S & DG playing upfront.
The game was played in a very competitive but good spirited contest with Dereham having early chances to take the lead but falling behind to 2 well taken Fakenham goals which is how the half finished.
Changes were made introducing Sam W, Dominic & Daniel F during the 2nd half.
The home team worked hard but found it difficult to break but defending well against a very well organised Fakenham team who deserved the win.
Special Mention to Gareth our deputy keeper deservedly winning Man of the Match
