PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
Adobe Systems, Inc., San Jose, California. Desktop Support Specialist, Systems Support and Archivist: Helped maintain Marketing Communications' Department Macintosh and PC workstations by installing operating systems (in multiple languages), using Adobe and non-Adobe applications, and doing hardware/software support. Installed software on to workstations for operator readiness, provided desktop support and worked with the HelpDesk and/or technical vendors to resolve problems. Maintained databases and websites of documents, hardware/software assets and kept orderly control of physical materials in a Media Lab environment. Also did proofreading and keystroking of documents to assist the production/editorial staff. Fluent in most desktop publishing apps including Creative Suite, MS Office, SAP, Perforce and Filemaker. April 2000 to present.

Amdahl Corporation, Sunnyvale, California. Graphics Artist / Technical Illustrator: Created and maintained corporate-standardized templates in various programs for both Mac and PC platforms; datasheets, white papers, low and high-level brochures, stationary, forms, CD-ROMs, software packaging, corporate identity standards, and merchandising. Fluent knowledge of Macintosh programs including practical skills, troubleshooting, pre-press set-up, Linotronic and color output for various programs: Quark XPress, Adobe PageMaker, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Word and many others. Part-time editing of documents in both U.S. English and UK English, with some minor foreign translation. Produced a variety of graphics work, under assignments encompassing all levels of complexity, ranging from routine black and white production graphics to complex full color creative designs. Self-taught, Mac and PC-oriented, and a quick learner; also did installations and maintenance of workstations, applications, troubleshooting and consultation. AT&T Network Systems, Sunnyvale, California. Graphic Artist / Technical Illustrator: Helped establish AT&T's Technical Art Department. Consulted, coordinated, and distributed artwork and illustrations to company illustrators. Produced paste-up camera ready artwork and illustrations. Designed and produced marketing literature, technical illustrations, package designs, design and production of slide presentations. January 1978 to November 1985.

Freelance work for West Graphics, South Bay Signs, ProSigns, Fujitsu, Hewlett-Packard, Samsung, Supracor, Infocation and some local clients included corporate datasheets, brochures, presentations, forms, illustrations, record album covers, eflyers, banners, business cards, advertisements, signs, posters, T-shirts, flyers, troubleshoot systems and consultation.
