This is our last mini soccer training ... as will be playing 4 fun i have decided that we shall start with a few games with 'modest' (cheap) prizes for the winners and runners up in a
* Free Kick Challenge
* Penalty Shoot Out
with a relay race to follow
Closing with a 'fun' game on the big pitch
As i write i await confirmation from Northgate that we have the pitch that night; so check back to ensure confirmed and take your child to the pitch b4 leaving them : )
Nath's update
I shall be thinking about our training numbers during the next few weeks looking to settle on a training squad of 15/16 big enough to cover the games but not too big so that we can't invest enough time in the players.

It's going to be hard, but like many other clubs in the region we have to reduce our training numbers, so that every player has the hope and chance that they might play their way onto the team.
I hope to arrange a few friendlies (11's) so that I can take a look at the whole squad. Please keep an eye on the new website www.freewebs.com/dtyfc where i will post the info

nb: boots are ok but only molded studs no blades no metal studs
it is not ok to play without shin pads!

As you know i am delighted that we have just been able to buy the players, both Blacks & White, a new track suit and training top ... the total cost in excess of £1000 !!!
Can i ask you that the players wear the training tops to each training session and bring them to games for when its 'hot' - if it ever is ... they would make for a good home/away kit whilst warm.
NB: Boring bits
1) The kit belongs to DTFC ... whilst we have named it this is easily removed and replaced ... it surprises me how difficult it is to get kit back ...
2) Please wear the tracksuits to matches through the warm up and whilst benched, unless 2 hot.
3) We have allocated new squad numbers, please either swap shirts or take into Birds to have them replace them ... the numbers not the shirts!

As a yardstick if it's tipping down before hand we would probably call it off ... if it's showers we would start and if it tips down towards the latter part of the night we would run for the cars ...
i think it's called common sense
