Nath's update

I look forward to next year when we shall be playing 11 a-side.

We are lucky to have a big talented squad and a superb managment team in place, those currently involved will i hope stay on to be part of the U11's.

I will with the other coaches be reviewing the current training squads during the break in training ... we may have to reduce the numbers - if we do so we will let you know asap. It's always a tough call not just at our club but at just about every club in the League.

We will need someone to take on the website and maybe a fixture secretary but i will sort those elements out in the training break, we could also do with a sponsorship manager although we have a fully kitted out squad with money in the bank!

I would mention that we would play a squad of probably 16 players each game which means that not everybody will get to play every week, but that the door is open to every player that will be training with us giving everyone the chance to play their way into the team.

We will sadly have to say goodbye to Todd, Phil, Lewis & Mateo as they continue their footballing experience again as U10's - we wish them well with their future football!

I am looking forward to next season, we hope to sign a couple of new players to strengthen the squad still further.

I hope this helps in the meantime

In closing a 'huge' thank you to Gary for everything that he has done for both the 'Black' & 'Whites' during the last 3 years!

Regards

Nathan

2007/08 SQUAD

ps

I shall be thinking about our training numbers during the next few weeks looking to settle on a training squad of 14/5 big enough to cover the games but not too big so that we can't invest enough time in the players.

I will post the 07/08 squad on the new website www.freewebs.com/dtyfc asap

It's going to be hard, but like many other clubs in the region we have to reduce our training numbers, so that every player has the hope and chance that they might play their way onto the team.
