I have always been proud of them both on and off the pitch - they don't [often] need reminding about the code ... all Dereham Players, Coaches, Parents & Guardians are asked to read our code of conducts - a code that governs our behaviour and provides a reference point if one is ever needed.
Gary Cockaday - DTFCU8/U9/U10 Manager
This is a work in progress ... but some extracts for now; we have copied all Parents & Players with the fuller version
Support all the boys - those playing & waiting
Support Fair Play
Appreciate the other team even if/when it hurts
A New One - Win (or lose) with Class and remember always its the players who win lose or draw
Respect the ref - even when you know he has made a mistake
Support the coaching team before during and after
Let the coach coach and support him at all times - if you have a problem talk to him ***
Be positive [always] win lose or draw
Enjoy - in years to come these will be remembered as [some] the best of times
Sometimes its the clearance/tackle that wins the game
and ... remember that no one gets it right all the time - the ref, the players, the coaches or [indeed] you - or for that matter me
did i really say me

*** ps this is a toughie [i know i have 2 of them] when talking to your boy's try to remain positive - if they are unhappy with time spent on the pitch or position played or whatever - try to keep it positive ... if you have a problem talk to Nath or me and whatever you do don't have that conversation mid game or in front of your child :)
