This is what we will be making.
Very easy and effective for tags, pages, scrapping...

save in png form
or pspimage form to be used at
another time
This
tutorial was written and presented by me, ©D'Zines by Grace,
2008.
Any resemblance of this
tutorial to any other
is purely coincidental.
What you create with this
information, is owned solely by you.
Feel free to use any color or
material you like. This is just a guide.
* File > New Image > 500 X 500
pixels > Resolution - your choice > Transparent
or fill with a color if you so
desire
* Materials Palette > Foreground
- null, Background - White #FFFFFF
* Preset Shape > Rectangle -
Check Create as Vector and Anti-alias
Draw out a tall thin rectangle
-Objects > Align > Center in Canvas -
Layers > Convert to Raster layer

* Adjust > Add/Remove Noise > Add
Noise - Settings:
Uniform, Monochrome checked,
Noise at 10 or to your taste
* Effects > Plugins > FM Tile
Tools > Blend Emboss set at default

* View > Free Rotate > Left (or
right doesn't matter) 45.00 degrees, rotate single layer
OK
* Layers > Duplicate > View >
Mirror
* Effects > 3D Effects > Drop
Shadow (optional)
Vertical & Horizontal - -1 (Minus
one), Opacity - 20, Blur - 3.00
* Right click on the top layer in
your layers palette - merge down
* Selection Tool > Rectangle > No
Feather
Since my image is 500 X 500
pixels, I'm going to start my selection at 100 X 100
and drag it out to 400 X 400.
This will select the part I want to use and save for future use.
* Once you have your selection,
Image > Crop to Selection, close
off the bottom layer if you have filled it with a color.
I did so I could see what I was
doing.
Now you have your lattice that is
ready to fill a page or another new image
NOTE: Depending on the size of
rectangle you've used, I had to move my selection just a tad so
that it would be seamless. Sorry!!
You can do this by clicking on
the "mover tool", using your right mouse button move it to
another area.
* In your materials palette,
Foreground > Pattern - locate your lattice pattern >
flood fill your new image.
* Save this as a pspimage or in
png form where you can find it to use again.
PS - it can be colored to some
degree. If you are wanting to use this technique to be colored,
it might work better to be made using a gray color.

Here's another one I made using
Eye Candy Impact Textures Wood

I hope this has been
instructional for you. Thanks for stopping by and giving this a
try!
