SUPPLIES NEEDED:

Paint Shop Pro demo -Here

Dragonfly Sinedots ll free - Here

Sinedots presets Here

Alien Skin 5 Impact Glass demo -Here

To save the presets, open and extract to your Sinedots plugin folder.

I don't remember where I picked these up at but there's several in the download.

When it comes time to use this, I will give you specific instructions.

NOW, with that taken care of, let's start our angel. Of course, feel free to create

your angel the way you want. This is just a guide.

Use of the triangle and ellipse preset shape tool; Pen Tool

1. File > New > New Image - 500 X 500 pixels

Resolution -72.000, Raster Background, Transparent or add color if you like

2. Materials Palette > Foreground - gold gradient, Background to a color of choice

I used #afb0c7 (a blue color)

3. Preset Shape Tool > Triangle - Create as Vector checked, Anti-alias checked,

Retain Style NOT checked, Line Style solid, Width 2.00

Make sure your working canvas has the rulers showing. If not go to

View > Rulers

4. Start at about 150 X 150 and draw out to about 350 X 400

5. Objects > Align > Horiz Center in Canvas

6. Click on the Pen Tool and the nodes should show up

On the top one > Right Click > Node Type > Asymmetric

Using one end of the arrow, push this in slightly

7. Layers > Convert to Raster Layer

8. Selections > Select All > Selections > Float > Selections > Contract by 2.00

This step is optional

9. Effects > Plugins > Alien Skin 5 Impact Glass settings of choice

but this is what I used

10. Selections > Invert > Selections float

11. Adjust > Add/Remove Noise > Add Noise - Uniform, 15.00, Monochrome

Selections > Select None

12. Preset Shape Tool - Ellipse > Create as Vector checked > Anti-alias checked

Retain Style NOT checked, Line Style solid, Width 2.00

13. Materials Palette > Foreground - Gold gradient, Background - #f6f4e7

14. Draw out a small circle for the head of our angel

15. Objects > Align > Horz. Center in Canvas

This should put it right on top of your angel body

16. Layers > Convert to Raster Layer

17. Selections > Select all > Selections > Float

18. Plugins > Alien Skin 5 Impact > Glass

use the same settings in step 9 EXCEPT change your color to the color you used for the angel head  #f6f4e7

19. Selections > Invert > Selections > Float

20. Adjust > Add/Remove Noise > Add Noise - Uniform, 15.00, Monochrome

21. Selections > Select None

Bear with me here...

22. File > New > New Image - 400 X 400 pixels

Resolution 72.00, Raster Layer, Transparent

23. Effects > Plugins > Dragonfly > Sinedots II

At the bottom, is a button that says "open". Click on this to locate the presets you downloaded before.

Click on the u-to-z.cfg and this will load all the presets available

The wings preset is listed below. Find one that you like.

The reason for using a smaller image for the wings... they don't resize very well and this helps to keep the sharpness. If the preset you choose has a different color, change it to white. Also, if the preset has a background color you don't want, change the blend to screen.

24. Edit > Copy (wings) - on your angel canvas, click on the bottom layer

Edit > Paste as a New Layer

This will place your wings behind the angel. Move them into place unless you're happy with the placement.

25. Materials Palette - Foreground > Gradient, Backgound > null

26. Pen Tool - Point to Point, Connect Segments checked, Show nodes checked,

Create on Vector checked, Line Style solid, Line width 2.00

 27. Start at the top just under the angel head > click once,

move to the bottom of the angel body > click once

You now have a line - Right click on the bottom node > Edit Node > Asymmetric

Pull the top of the arrow a bit to give it some curve

28. Layers > Convert to Raster Layer

29. Adjust > Add/Remove Noise > Add Noise - Uniform, 15.00, Monochrome

30. Effects > 3D Effects > Drop Shadow - Settings

Vertical and Horizontal - 0, Opacity 35, Blur 5.00

31. Layers > Duplicate, Image > Mirror

32. Pen Tool > Settings same as in step 25

Point to point > click just under the angel head >

move to the bottom > click once to have one down the middle

Layers > Convert to Raster Layer

33. Adjust > Add/Remove Noise > Add Noise - Uniform, 15.00, Monochrome

34. Effects > 3D Effects > Drop Shadow - Settings

Vertical and Horizontal - 0, Opacity 35, Blur 5.00

35. Preset Shape Tool - Ellipse > Create as Vector checked, Anti-alias checked,

Retain Style NOT checked, Line Style solid, Line Width 2.00

Draw out a small ellipse to make a halo

36. Objects > Align > Horz. Center in Canvas

Layers > Convert to Raster Layer

37. Adjust > Add/Remove Noise > Add Noise - Uniform, 15.00, Monochrome

If you're satisfied with your angel, click on one of the layers, merge visible,

save as .png
