We will be
using Preset Shapes, Pen Tool, Selections Tool, Brush Tool

Preset Shape Tool> Ellipse>Create
as Vector>Anti-alias both Checked
Materials Palette>Foreground
null, Background green #063103
Draw out an oval shape using your green color
Layers>Convert to Raster Layer
Selections Tool>Freehand
Selection>Point to Point, no feather
Anti-alias checked>go point to
point and cut out a part like a piece of pie,
hit delete, Selection>Select None

Pen Tool>Point to Point>Line

Preset Shape Tool>Flower 7>Create
as Vector>Anti-alias checked

Null, Background green #008001
Draw out a flower.. we are going
to use a petal for the toes of the froggie
Layers>Convert
to Raster Layer
Freehand Selections Tool>Point to
Point>Anti-alias>No feather
Draw out one of the petals like
this

Edit>Copy, Edit>Paste as a New
Layer, Selections>Select None
With the Mover Tool, move the
"toe" into place on top of the first lily pad. This would be the
center toe.

Layers>Duplicate, using the Deform tool, rotate the copy so that
it fits close to the first toe. Then duplicate again and mirror
moving that one into place on the other side of the first toe,
Merge down until you have one layer. This gives the impression
the rest of his foot is behind the lily pad.
We need to get rid of the excess
part of the toes.
On the lily pad -
Selections>Select all, Selections>Float, Selections>Defloat,
Selections>Invert
With the eraser active, erase all
of the top part of the toes. All we want is what's visible on
the lily pad. With the whole pad in this way, we can erase
without fear of erasing the pad or the rest of the toes.
Now that that is over... !!
Effects>3D
Effects>Drop Shadow - suggested settings
Vertical - 1, Horizontal - 0
(zero), Opacity - 40, Blur - 5.00
Layers>Duplicate - with the
Deform Tool, move the copy of the toes and place them on the
other lily pad and position

And now.. on to the head!!
Preset Shape Tool>Ellipse>Create

Click on the very bottom layer
and draw out a circle for the head
Position the head so the it looks
like he's looking over the lily pads
Layers>Convert to Raster Layer
Draw out 2 more small circles for
the eyes in green, Convert to Raster Layer
Draw out 2 more even smaller circles using white for the eyes,
Convert to Raster Layer

Draw out a smile for the nice
little froggie! :-) Layers>Convert to Raster Layer

Materials Palette>Foreground null, Background a darker green for
the spots. Draw out several different sizes or make one and
duplicate and place where you want them
Add a flower, if you like. Here's
what I did
Preset Shape Tool>Flower 5>Use
any color you like and draw out this one
Convert to Raster Layer
Then find Flower 7 and draw that
one out on top Convert to Raster Layer
Using the Ellipse, draw out a
circle for the center Convert to Raster Layer
Effects>3D Effects>Drop Shadow
Vertical - 1, Horizontal - 0
(zero), Opacity - 40, Blur - 5.00

the flower on one layer
If you're happy with everything
you've done
Layers>Merge>Merge all or flatten
Save as a png for transparency or
gif, or flatten. Flatten will give you a white background.
Congratulations! You are now the
proud owner of a cute little froggie!
