Paint Shop Pro - Here

Tutorial was done in PSP X2 and should be able to be done in earlier versions

Alien Skin Eye Candy 5 Impact Bevel - Here  (Demo)

Template download - Here  Save to a folder on your computer

 

1. Find and open the Cookie Template/Duplicate and close the original

 

2. Find and open sprinkles.png - File/Export/save as sprinkles-kim

OK

3. Find and open colored sprinkles psptube - File/Export/save as colored sprinkles.kim

OK

 

4. Materials Palette -

Foreground - #bc8b52, Background - null

 

5. Click on the top layer (stem) "eye" and close this off

Click on the bottom layer to activate it

 

6.  Selections / Float / Selections / Defloat / Selections / Modify / Expand by 1

Hit delete on the keyboard to get rid of the template

Selections / Modify / Contract by 1

 

7. Layers/New Raster Layer

 

8. Flood Fill Tool (bucket) - Match Mode - none

Tolerance - 20 / Blend Mode - Normal / Opacity - 100

Fill the selection with the foreground color / Selections / Select None

 

9. Effects / Texture Effects / Texture - use a favorite texture with the following settings:

Size - 100% / Smoothness - 20 / Depth - 20

Ambience - 0 / Shininess - 10 / Angle - 315

Intensity - 50 / Elevation - 30 / Color white

 

10. Effects / Plugins / Alien Skin Eye Candy5 Impact Bevel with these settings:

Bevel width -5.03 / Bevel height -83 / Smoothness - 20.00

Round corners - 0

Lighting - Direction -135 / Inclination - 45

Brightness - 80 / Size - 40  / Shadow color - #bc8b52 - OK

 

11. Selections / Select all / Float / Defloat

Selections / Modify / Contract 15

Layers / New Raster Layer

Flood Fill Tool and fill with #f59a5d

12. Alien Skin Eye Candy 5 Bevel 

Change settings and lighting to Plastic Preset

Shadow color #f59a5d - OK

 

13. Close off bottom layer (click on eye) / Click on the stem layer

Selections / Float /Selections Defloat

Layers/New Raster Layer

Flood Fill tool / Fill with #bc8b52 / Selections / Select none

Use same texture as for cookie

 

14. Selections / Select all / Selections/  Float / Selections / Defloat

Layers / New Raster Layer

Selections / Modify / Contract - 5

Layers / New Raster Layer

Flood Fill Tool / fill with #094f09

Selections / Select none

 

15. Alien Skin Eye Candy 5 Impact Bevel

Use Plastic Preset settings changing shadow color to #094F09

 

16. On top layer / Layers / Merge / Merge Down

 

17. On the next layer / Layers / Merge / Merge Down

 

18. With the cookie layer active / Selections / Select all / Selections / Modify / Contract - Around 16 - You want the marching ants around the icing part of the cookie

 Layers / New Raster Layer

Click on the Brush Tool with these settings:

Size - 10 / Hardness - 100 / Step - 1 / Density - 100 / Thickness - 100

Rotation - 0 / Opacity - 100 / Color - #e76609

Draw out some lines so it looks like ridges

 

19. Adjust / Blur / Gaussian Blur 4.00 or what ever you like best

 

20.  Selections / Select None

 

21. Click on the brush layer - Layers / Merge / Merge Down

 

22. Selections / Select All / Selections / Modify / Contract - 16

Marching ants around the icing layer again

Layers / New Raster Layer

23. Decorate with the sprinkle tube supplied with the download

24. Now serve with milk!
