5. Hold down the "Ctrl" key on your keyboard, left click on the sides to add nodes

Once you have those done, Right click on the nodes -

Node Type > Symmetric (mine is grayed out because I've already chosen it)

Do this to both sides

Once you are happy with the shape - Layers > Convert to Raster Layer

6. Preset Shape - Ellipse >

Create as Vector checked, Anti-alias checked, Retain Style NOT checked

Line Style solid, Width 25 to 30

Materials Palette - Foreground #F3F6F5

Draw out an oval shape to fit on either side of the cup

( I added the background so I could see better what I was doing)

7. Click on the Pen tool to reveal the nodes again

Pull them up and out and any way you want the handle to look

When you happy with the way it looks - Layers > Convert to Raster Layer >

Layers > Merge > Merge Down

Now we have one piece to work with

8. Selections > Select all > Selections > Float

9. Effects > 3D Effects > Cutout

Repeat the cutout

10. Selections > Select none

11. Preset Shape - Ellipse >

Create as Vector checked, Anti-alias checked, Retain Style NOT checked

Line Style solid, Width 1.00

Materials Palette - Foreground #F3F6F5, Background #A69DB5 or a color of your choice

Draw out a narrow Ellipse across the top of your cup

12. Layers > Convert to Raster Layer

13. Selections > Select all > Selections > Float

Activate the cup layer and on your keyboard, press Delete

Selections > Select None

14. Activate the top layer, the ellipse you made -

Selections > Select all > Selections > Float

Effects > 3D Effects > Cutout

Vertical -6 (minus 6), Horizontal 0, Opacity 25, Blur 30.00

Selections > Select none

14. Effects > Plugins > Alien Skin Eye Candy 5 Impact Glass

Eye Candy 3.1 Settings

Repeat the settings for the top part of the cup which in this case should be the inside :-)

15. With the top layer active - Layers > Merge > Merge down

Your coffee cup is finished! Add a graphic of your choice. DECORATE!!
