Team Driving Miss Daisy - Mongol Rally 2007

Two girls, one car, unlimited adventure

DAISY the K11 Nissan Micra 'Passion'

Daisy's Story

Daisy was once a sad and lonely little car......she sat unloved in a car lot in Essex.

One day she was put up for sale on Ebay and team Driving Miss Daisy snapped her up for the enormous sum of £215.

Daisy is slightly battered but knows she has great stamina and is strong in 'The Force.'

We do not know much of Daisy's history but guessing from her Jersey plates Daisy's owner had probably fallen asleep permanantly whilst visting the UK.

We feel very lucky to have found Daisy and are sure that when (touchwood) Daisy reaches Mongolia she will provide a lot of joy to a some charity...especially as she is such a pretty colour :)

Daisy Progress Report:

Day 1:  Daisy sad on Ebay

Day 14 - Daisy finds an admirer

Daisy was driven to Wales and delivered to Ant who throughly enjoyed taking her for a test drive.  Indeed, he was so complimentary that Daisy felt very appreciated and has promised to be the best car that has ever taken part in the Mongol Rally.  It seems Daisy is managing to develop a personality!....(or am I just getting carried away?)  Maybe I should have kept taking the tablets...

Day..3 Months later..

Helen, Martin and Sophie went back to Wales on the 15th April to pick up Daisy.  She is a work in progress but Ant has done a magnificent job.  Some pictures are in Wales some are in Wiltshire.

Vrrooooomm  .....She ROARS

Look carefully.... do you spot our nifty accessory?

The yellow wheel is one of  the rally wheels for when the going gets tough - probably swop them round somewhere near Turkmenistan.

Look how shiny she is......oooooo

Daisy is almost in a field of daisys....but not quite...dandelions shall do for now.  As you can see there is a protective guard stuck on the front

Daisy June 07

Daisy is starting to look a bit more like an endurance car but she isn't finished yet!!
