Captain Floyd Darden served with the Pennsylvania Army National Guard
as an EEOCE officer, after earning the associate degree at the Management
Institute, Florida 1981. He completed his Ph.D. in Humanities (1999),
while facilitating Vibrations Power Is Healing Sound for St. Mary’s Hospital
Conference on “Alternative and other Healing Models”. He presents
programs, lectures, performances and innovative interactive gatherings for any
group size organization, private or public. His company is
“Joy With Floyd Darden Enterprises” which includes many projects and daily work
under the heading of “Holistic Music Ministry.” He attended Berklee School of Music,
New England Conservatory, Northeastern, among others and earned his B.A.
at Boston University. While Teaching vocal and instrumental music at the
Smith Pembroke schools, and percussion for Olivet University. He earned
his Masters Degree from Governors State University, Park Forrest South,
Illinois, and a certificate of Music Therapy for studies through
Music Therapy Concepts Arts Therapies (Arts-Medicine 1997)
CMTE.

Floyd is an experiential interactive program leader,
and regular guest presenter, performer and workshop
facilitator for conferences around the Globe. These include
Life Spectrums, Pa., Great Lakes Retreat, Michigan, and the
SSF-IIIHS International Conference & College program
in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, to name a few.
He developed and teaches Positive Power
(motivational energy) and Drum Quest,
while presenting Drum Circles, Healing Circles, training in the power of drumming,
vocal expression, becoming a musician physician, Drumming Kabbalah,
Drumming, I Ching, Drum Meditation , Healing Energy, Music Vibrations as Medicine
and much more.

Floyd
has also worked as a musician with Jose Feliciano, Mel Torme, Ink
Spots, Jazz Power, Juma Santos, Johnny Mathis, Metaphysical Musicians
& Artists. During his studies at the Eastern Baptist Theological Seminary (1983) he performed live concerts for the Please touch museum, Philadelphia, PA.
Dr. Darden is a Drum Therapist Entrepreneur. He was featured performing this healing model with Alzheimer’s Patience on a CN New TV Special November 2004.
He is presently working with Holistic Music Ministry in rehabilitation,
health care, Alzheimer’s facilities and LAF Dynamics for general wellness,
in which he includes vocal, instrumental music and puppetry.
He teaches wellness courses for the
School of Body Therapies and Bucks County Community College, in Pennsylvania.
Dr. Darden is completing his manuscript on Drum Therapy and hopes to
