On August 11, 2007, thousands of children will be registering for school. The Dress an Angel program is designed to inflate the self-esteem of those children that will not be able to afford new school clothes for the start of the new school year.
I have committed myself to obtain enough donations to give 450 children a new school outfit for the first day of school. In order to reach my goal, I am asking you for support in the form of either a monetary donation, or a donation of an outfit/outfits. I am working very hard along with Zion City Council to make a difference and would appreciate any support that you would be able to provide. In return for your generous gift, I am offering to wear supporters on my shirt the day of school registration, as well as take out a full page add in the local newspapers thanking those who sponsored this program. Unfortunately, poverty and low self-esteem have become an all too common occurrence among the children in our community. Now is the time to take action and put a smile on these kid’s faces.
