Dress an Angel

Dear Friends:

On August 11, 2007, thousands of children will be registering for school. The Dress an Angel program is designed to inflate the self-esteem of those children that will not be able to afford new school clothes for the start of the new school year.

I have committed myself to obtain enough donations to give 450 children a new school outfit for the first day of school.  In order to reach my goal, I am asking you for support in the form of either a monetary donation, or a donation of an outfit/outfits. I am working very hard along with Zion City Council to make a difference and would appreciate any support that you would be able to provide. In return for your generous gift, I am offering to wear supporters on my shirt the day of school registration, as well as take out a full page add in the local newspapers thanking those who sponsored this program. The generosity that you would be willing to give will not go unnoticed. On August 11th, 2007, City of Miracles is hosting an event in Zion, and there I will be registering deserving families who will participate in this program.

Unfortunately, poverty and low self-esteem have become an all too common occurrence among the children in our community. Now is the time to take action and put a smile on these kid’s faces. The more funds and donations I raise, the sooner we can end this struggle. More information about Dress an Angel can be found at www.freewebs.com/dressanangel/ or call 847-731-9412, or I can be reached through (224)636-4085. By supporting me in the Dress an Angel program, you will ultimately help promote the self-worth in the children in your community. I know we can do it together!

Thank you for your support and consideration.

Sincerely,

Tricia Ruckebeil
