DREAM WORDS OF THE HEART

Wish Me A Dream

The Fraulein petal in the windmill setting scene,
The yellow and blue of the Venetian serene,
Honeydew Niagara tears of the Frascati and romance cheese,
I am frantic and alone in my croquet field.
The mansion and an enduring bill and a Nostalgia note, so out of tune,
I am really the clandestine Master of all that grandeur and true.
When the seven shores of heaven and earth have my houses aglow,
With the frugal and the extravagant buoyed by an anchor of gold,
My insignia, the exotic emblem and a survivor of centuries of critique,
Where my forefathers honoured any penance and every antique.

So Hey Lady, Lady......
Wish Me A Dream.

So Hey Lady, Lady......
Wish Me A Dream.

An oracle enacted, chanted the forbidden two-step flight,
It's crazy but I really ended in a desperate plight,
Tick tock, tick tock, the time told the truth's game,
I became deadly sick, a victim of famine and fame,
But the pendulum swung the amazing Trapezium saviour's hand,
And I grasped at my last gasp, for the violin's next band,
And you know what, I was a lucky old man.

So Hey Lady, Lady......
Wish Me A Dream.

So Hey Lady, Lady......
Wish Me A Dream.

I then climbed the Himalayan fortress, and twice more in a balloon,
I jumped into the devouring sky and boy was that me as a loon,
My yachts grew from yards to many many miles,
And the bridges of avarice, depression, oppression blew up with smiles.
And the ambient, ardent capture of my chivalry and grace,
Gave way to all peoples of every creed and race.

So Hey Lady, Lady......
Wish Me A Dream.

So Hey Lady, Lady......
Wish Me A Dream.
