DREAM HORSE HAVEN
A place were horses are treated better than people.

One thing I have never lost is my love for any kind of horse.  I like all horses as I have said but the one I like best is the thoroughbred.  Not because they have racing speed or appear to be a more noble steed but because they have a heart that will not quit.  They just keep pulling on the bit.  It makes no difference if they are lame or thin that just don't keep a thoroughbred from trying to win.  They are an example of what we should be. The best part of them you will never see. it's a heart that's true, sticks to the end. That's why I'd want a thoroughbred for a friend. W.J. Wilde 1935

Tis better to have loved and lost than to have never loved at all.  W. Shakespeare

This page is for those we've touched and loved since 2005

We all know what it's like to see a horse pushed aside and left to fend for itself.  If you haven't it is not something you'd want to see. The owner neither caring nor concerned about the welfare of the horse entrusted to their care.  We often come across some of these lonely creatures and can't resist the rescue.  CORRECT horse care is a costly business.  These rescued horses take time, extra care and money.  We do what we can with what we've got and help find better homes or ease them across the bridge.  It's a never ending battle but we keep going because they keep coming.

We have dedicated our lives, time and money to make sure horses are treated better than they deserve and always more than any other place we've been to. We have vets and farriers that know if it makes it to us we'll do everything possible to help it.  We are not in it for the monetary gains ONLY for the love of horses.

Our wish is to teach others that there is a better way of taking care of the many horses that need us.  Chantal starts with the kids that love horses and shows them how to DO IT RIGHT.  Her ultimate goal is a school that doesn't just teach you how to ride but how to CARE for a horse completely.  She has seen and been to many equine schools where the money is worth more than the horses they are caring for.  This stops at our barn door.  EVERY horse has a better life than it did before it came to us.

So I've decided this page is for all those that have passed through, some on to better homes and others to cross the bridge to greener pastures and waiting at the gates for us to join them because they were never alone and always loved with us.

This list is of the many we have rescued, purchased, some out of hell holes or simply found us along their way.

THEY CANNOT EVER BE REPLACED AND WILL NOT EVER BE FORGOTTEN BY US
