This poor boy was abandoned when his owners moved out. A neighbor is being kind enough to feed him while trying to find a place for him to go. Tina is just about the cutest little thing you ever did see. Tina was picked up as a stray in Oregon and turned in to a vet because she was in such a poor state. Poor Tina has flea allergies that had gone untreated which resulted in a skin infection and one miserable little girl. But she is on the mend now! In fact, her hair is even starting to grow in. Tina is a SWEET little girl who wants to have someone to follow around and snuggle with. She will be your constant devoted shadow if you let her. She bonds quickly and then wants to be your protector. She will GET that evil vacuum before it gets you! She appears to be housebroken, good with cats and other dogs. We believe she is a mix of Maltese and toy poodle. She is just about 6 pounds.
He is currently up for adoption with our rescue. Good Samaritans wanted to help him last August. So we helped them. Of course..they never bothered registering his microchip. And apparently since last August he has been passed around a bit. And eventually no one really gave a hoot about him. No one cared that he was sitting in Pierce County Humane Society. No one was going to come forward to reclaim him. <br>

This is Tiger. Tiger's owner passed away so his faily dropped him off at the shelter. Can you imagine giving your whole life to someone only to be dumped when they were gone? We know Tiger's owner wanted better for him. And so did we. Tiger is 12 years old, neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. He DOES have a mild heart murmur and is deaf but is in otherwise good health for an older gentleman. He is still a perky, fun loving little bugger who loves all people, other dogs, and even cats.
Tiger does have a reduced adoption fee because he is a senior.

This handsome devil is as sweet as he is good looking. He is a real loverboy. He is seeking an active home with a family to love him. He has had a run of bad luck with his previous owner and needs someone who will not take their responsibility to him lightly. Our wonderful boy was dumped at a shlter because his owner had a new girlfriend who was afraid the dog would knock over her children. It was the dog or the girl. Frankly, we feel Flash's owner would have been MUCH better off keeping the dog.
Flash is good with cats and most other dogs. Would be best in a home with a compatible female dog. He knows his basic commands such as sit, down, he also knows shake. We think Flash is a Great Dane/ American Staffordshire(or American Pit Bull Terrer) mix. He is less than two years old. He is completely housebroken.

Yes..it is true..we have chihuahuas. They were part of a big rescue in CA where nearly 30 chihuahuas and other small dogs were saved at the last minute from euthinazia. (yes people..SMALL dogs die in shelters too) And my goodness are they ever cute. The boys names are Chulo and Taco. They are both incredibly sweet but have VERY different personalities.

Taco is, well, a little saucy. But very loving. Taco is outgoing and friendly and loves to be loved. He loves people, cats and other dogs. Taco is estimated to be about three years old. Mostly housebroken but has some marking issues (recent neuter) which are slowly going away.
And we have named her Mira. This darling girl sat, cold, sad, afraid to move, next to a busy freeway in an area where the breed is restricted. Lucky for her a pair of dog lovers were passing by and stopped to give her a hand. This is a soft, gentle, sweet dog that we jokingly are calling puddle dog, because she melts in a puddle at your feet. Mira does not neccessarily seem to have been abused but certainly was unsocialized and unsure of herself. She is coming out of her shell in leaps and bounds though. Mira is about two years old and VERY sweet. Good with other dogs and adores all humans. Do you want a companion that needs to be your best friend always? then this may be the girl for you!
Ok..if you are looking for a cuddly couch potato dog that will adore your family? then you have come to the right place. Pokey is about two years old, 40 pounds, and a total love bug. She is good with cats and tolerates other dogs. She knows basic commands and is housebroken. We think she may be a pit bull sharpei mix, but whatever she is..worked well for her because she is CUTE CUTE CUTE!
