Dragons Den

Friends, Family. thats all that matters to me

Dragonsong

The Dragon lies, his song filling the cavern in which he laments. The hoard that he collects is not of jewels and gold, but a treasure of a different kind. His hoard is of memories of friends, and in the wispy and silvery cloud occasionally images of friends from the past appear. The Dragon himself is a golden colour, with silver dancing around from the hoard of memories. The song he sings is slow and sorrowful, while being beautiful. It laments lost friends, and the painful past. A human listening to it would weep, fall in a heap on the floor, and uncontrollably weep, for the sorrow that fills the Dragons voice. As he sings, tears fall down his cheeks. These are actually parts of his soul, his essence. They fall until they too are part of the hoard of memories.

Last Flight Of The Phoenix

The phoenix circles over head, singing a haunting and mournful song. His partner has been stolen away from him, by dark forces unseen. his song, normally a happy chortling melody, has become sullen, dark. More beautiful than before, only in a mournful way. Soul tears stream from his eyes, and people for miles around are struck by the songs dark beauty. Throughout the land, a day of mourning has taken over from what should have been a happy day, the first day of spring. A mysterious shining light appears from the west, a unexpected, and by many unwanted, light shining spiteful of the sorrow filling the land. The phoenixes song is one of longing and reminds everyone of something that they have lost. While the phoenix says nothing, everyone knows who the song is meant for, and at the same time feels the loss, both their own and the phoenixes. A long night passes with the phoenix continuing his unending sorrowful flight.

A morning light creeps across the valley that used to be the phoenixes home. A group of foragers come across a pile of ashes, the last bed of the phoenix. As they approach it, a blinding light is flashes from the pile of ashes, and twirling around the pillar of light two birdlike forms are seen, and they are both singing the most beautiful song of all.
