Welcome to the Dragon Miniature Railway website. We are a small volunteer-based organisation running our 7.25" gauge miniature railway in the grounds of Wyevale Garden Centre, Marple. The railway includes steep gradients, sharp curves, a tunnel and a bridge. Our fleet of hard-working locomotives willhaul your train past these and other features around the line.

We operate a friendly railway, with a style reminiscent of BR steam days, when the area was part of the maroon London Midland Region. Kids and adults alike enjoy riding on our miniature trains and regularly come back time and time again. During our existence we have established ourselves as a high-quality attraction within not only our local community, but also further afield.

A picnic area will be open whenever the railway is open from Easter until October, so you can take your time and catch a later train back.
