All the knitting is done on the baby jacket and I even figured out the origami part:Just need to sew the shoulder seams and find some cute buttons.I signed up for a knitters swap so I've been trying to get some crafting done before I leave for Maryland....with little luck. I'll have a few days to finish up after I get back, and maybe I'll find something nice at the Sheep and Wool show to send too.I did get these done:I finished a few other things, and have one thing mostly done and one is still only an idea. I hope I have a really productive few days to get it all done.I'm off to pack! If you're going too Ravelry is having a meet-up at the rabbit building both days.....Maybe I'll see you there?
I love this view of Chewbacca!Today was one of those days....ran around all day and felt like nothing at all was accomplished. My kids' activity frequency seems to be escalating. I only have two kids, but I still feel like I need to clone myself to be able to get them to all their classes, field trips and playdates. On top of it all I've been FREEZING all day. We still don't have a working boiler. They did actually run the gas line to our house today....so I hope we have heat tomorrow after the plumbers are here. Rugs get put in the day after that....so I can start getting everything back in order soon. The piles of things every where are starting to make me twitch.So....not much crafting got done today. I did finally finish up the felted playmat:I kitchenered the toe of the sock and knit only two rows on the baby surprise jacket. I only have four more rows to go. But I'm going to bed!
I just got back from visiting my mom for a few days. I got a little knitting done while I was there.....a very little. I hate doing the driving....it feels like 7 hours of prime knitting time were wasted! I'm almost done with the baby surprise jacket. I just need to do the button bands:Still looks like a big blob doesn't it? I think I see how it's going to go together....fingers still crossed. I hope I can find some cute buttons to go with the yarn.I finished one sock....except for kitchenering the toe. Now that I've done it a few times, kitchener toes are my favorite way to finish. I hate pointy toes on socks!I did a little spinning today too....finished the batt I got in the fiber swap:It's so sparkly in person. The bamboo and glitz and iridescent thread it's plyed with all add up to one really sparkly yarn. I've determined that I absolutely love spinning bamboo fibers. I hope I can find some at the sheep and wool show this weekend.I'm so excited to go! I hope it's not insanely crowded. I don't really have any great fibery desires. I want to check out woolee winders for my wheel....maybe get a raw fleece. I actually like the whole process of washing, and carding....and even like the smell of dirty wool. It's a sure sign of fiber-on-the-brain disease.
