"Magic, Mensa and Mayhem" is a serial mystery running in the North Dakota Mensa newsletter, the Prairie Dawg.  One day, I intend to novelize it, but until I find the time or motivation (book contract, anyone?), here it is for your reading pleasure.

Mensa is an international society of people from every walk of life whose IQ is in the top 2% of the population, with the objective of enjoying each other's company and participating in a wide range of social and cultural activities.  Yes, I am a member--and probably the biggest airhead of the group.  Vern, incidentally, is an honorary member of the ND group, but has  been having a hard time finding a proctor to test him to get his official membership.
