Just for grins, here are stories others have written about my kind or St. George. We tried to give author links where we could. Enjoy.
Not A Martyr
By Jill OConnor
It could have been worse. At least he wasnt afflicted with stigmata. That never heals.
George couldnt have guessed he would be anything other than a soldier, but thanks to that fateful day in the woods he became a legend. His mark on the world: a dead dragon. At the time George couldnt appreciate his encounter with fire breath, at least not until the burns healed. Only then could he enjoy the fame, glory, and riches that went along with being a dragon slayer. Unfortunately, the scars never went away.
You have to suffer a little to become a saint.
