Stumbling into a large clearing you hear a low growl come from a creature sitting on a tree stump. The piercing red eyes seem to go straight through your body to your heart as you look at the creature carefully.
"I see you have found my lair." the creature clearly spoke in human tongue, and very well at that. It's voice was almost musical and it clearly must have been female. "Please do not fear me for I will not harm you."
Gulping once you take the time to look the creature over, it had wings, a moehawk like mane running down it's back, four legs... well 2 arms and 2 legs, a long slender tail, a... what was it crocodilian like mouth and face, and horns. The creature wore jewels and trinkets on it's body... finally after staring at the beast long enough your finally able to form some words "What are you?"
Chuckling the creature looked at you with her vivid red eyes "Well you sure know how to introuduce yourself. Well if you really must know I am a dragon. One of many found on this world." her answer was quick and clear, the laugh at the end made you feel uneasy as the dragon shifted on her log. Sure she wasn't big but hey these things were known to kill people. "If you would like to find out more about my kind then please look around." nodding her head over to a book that was sitting on a pedastal beside the log.
Carefully you walk over to view the book, opening it you see a title "The Dragons of the World and Beyond." the rest was written in some other language.
"That is a collection of many of the dragons found on your planet, and some that live in completely differant realms. There are always dragons being discovered and with each new discovery come a new page in the book." The dragoness explained looking over towards you watching as you flipped through the pages of the book. She saw a flash happen and chuckled when you jerked back away from the book "It seems another dragon has been discovered and documented." Stretching out her wings the black dragoness jumped off her log "I must go tend to other things, feel free to look through the book to learn more about my kind." with that being said she slowly walked off seeming to magically disappear in the shadows.
