About Yu-Gi-Oh! - the Story that Started It All... |
|
The story that The Lost Saga: Forgotten Memories is based on is a popular television show and comic series that began in Japan (1996) by Kazuki Takahashi. Both the original anime and manga have ended, but a spin-off series known as Yu-Gi-Oh! GX with a brand-new cast still keeps the story alive. However, the original team still has another manga story, Yu-Gi-Oh! R, which is currently running in Japan’s comic magazine, V-Jump.
The hero, Yugi Moto, was an ordinary tenth grader that had often been picked on. When he completed the ancient Millennium Puzzle, he gained courage as well as became a master gamer with the help of the pharaoh within it. Yugi and his friends have had many adventures since then, mostly revolving around the card game known as Duel Monsters. Who knew that a simple game could be so exciting?
