Moore Bond Trivia

Bond creator Ian Fleming thought of Moore to play Bond in Dr. No, but Moore was ultimately thought to be too young in appearance for the part.

Bond co-producer Harry Saltzman wanted Moore to play Bond in On Her Majesty's Secret Service after Sean Connery quit the role of 007, but Moore was still under his television contract with the series The Saint at the time and thus again had to turn down the role of Bond.

Bond co-producer Harry Saltzman wanted Moore to play Bond in Diamonds Are Forever after George Lazenby quit the role of 007, but Moore was under a television contract with the series The Persuaders! at the time so he could not take the part.
