I found the Walla Walla Valley while working constuction when I was 18 years old and have lived here since.
Steve and I were married in 1996 and have since built our home together here. The Ranch We bought was one I had my eye on for several years before we were finally able to purchase it.
I always dreamed of having a black stallion and raising quality AQHA horses. I had managed stud farms around the area and had the opportunity to handle some outstanding stallions including Biankus in his later years and several other well know stallions. I bought Midnight Driftwood (Drifty) as a yearling in 1998, and started buying a few good mares, and breeding some quality outside mares. So far his foal crops are OUTSTANDING !! This year he sired a buckskin, blue roan and grey colts and 2 bay fillies.
Drifty is siring 100% Black on Black Mares, 85% Black on sorrel mares. Not only does he have the right color, his foals have a very nice, trainable disposition.
Drifty does not carry the red color gene, which means he does not throw red colored foals. Drifty's sire has made a name for himself as a pickup horse at the National finals rodeo and was purchased by the 6666 Ranch in Texas. He is currently owned by the Ranch manager. Drifty's dam is a brood mare that has produced some awesome foals. She is owned now by Keith Munns in Idaho.
Having trained Mules much of my life, I decided 3 years ago to breed some of my mares to a Mammoth Jack. I searched for one , but could not find one I liked anywhere close to me. SO I went to California and purchased Ass-pens Gunsmoke. He is siring some AWESOME mule foals, cute little heads, big gorgeous eyes and wonderful dispositions. We have 5 mule foals due this year.
We have shown foundation Quarter Horses and our goal is to raise ranch, trail and good solid performance horses.
We ride in the mountains of Idaho, Oregon and Washington where Drifty goes with us occasionally, thou he is most happy at home with his broodmare band. Most of our brood mares are saddle horses first.
We are Conveniently located in Walla Walla, Washington, we are a full service facility representing some of the breed's finest bloodlines. Our goal is to produce superior animals that are highly competitive in and out of the show ring and breeding shed and that are true ambassadors of the breed.
We carefully tailor each horse's feed and maintenance program, work schedule, playtime and one-on-one pampering to ensure “user friendly” individuals with happy, healthy minds and bodies. All of my horses get Dynamite vitamins and good quality hay.
