Following the win against Somerset, Dorset are now off to Worthing in the Under 25's Double Rink.
Well Done to Andy Paulley and the Team
Apart from the blip against Somerset on the 14th June, Dorset have gone from strength to strength this year. Taking 8 points from Devon was a terrific result, and the side has been rightly shaken up for the game against Wiltshire on the 21st.
The Skips have been re-arranged, as well as the front ends to further strengthen the squad, and the manager is happy with the pure quality throughout the team. Dorset are gaining a reputation now for not just a fantastic Under 25's squad under the leadership of Andy Paulley, but a formidiable force that would give anyone a game on their day
Well Done Dorset, keep it up - people just can't stop saying good things about you, and even if they say bad things, they could n't because the guestbook has been removed.....!!
Have a terrific season Dorset

Dorset 114 (8 Points) Devon 119 (14 Points)
At the stroke of 2 o'clock on Saturday 7th June, Dorset began their 2008 campaign...., and the heavens opened, however it was never going to dampen the spirits of this new team, who seemed to have a renewed energy, spirit and determination, this was a new Dorset, and Devon did n't know what to do.
The usually jubilant Devon were reduced to hushed whispers as Dorset kept chipping away bowl by bowl at arguably one of the best County teams in the Country, Dorset were back to their best, and it was a delight to see Ralphy, Chislett, Patt, Chalker & Garnett soaked, but singing in the rain.
Barry Pat resumed normal service with Dougie, Derek & Jamie and set about the delivery of Dorset's first 2 points against Webber, Garnett recovered from a bad start to deliver a reasonable score against a Skip who seemed to have more Jam than Robinsons, however both sides played well with Pavey strong and calm as usual and Chris Lawrence delivering a terrfic debut that he should be rightly proud of.
Ralphy & Willats also brought home the bacon with 2 points each, both giving a performance that detractors of the Dorset team can only dream of, they were quality personified and being able to deliver that quality on the highest stage time and time again is the reason they play Bowls. Steve, Phil, Alec & Paul started well and were always never far away but were always subject to the last wobbly bowl that not matter what always rattle in for shot.
To say that Dorset gave Devon a fright does not do justice to the last End where Ralphy & Craig were in for 6 shots, to win the match, if it were not for the fact of a gnat farting in the close vicinity - or maybe that was the Devon manager not be able to contain his excitement any longer......- we will never know !
Well Done Dorset, You can rightly hold your head high this morning - get the paper on Tuesday and read just how good you are
