Welcome All to The Don't Keep Silent Campaign.

First, I'd like to start off by saying thank you for coming here and showing your support to all those who were victimized, and to the survivors.

Now for a little bit behind DKS:

I came home one day during the summer of '06 and started off a posting to my friends and it went something like this.

"have you ever experienced something so horrible that you just wanted to lay down and die?"

You see I arrived at home shortly before 5pm, for more than 7 hours I was at the local hospital in the ER filing a police report against the man who attacked me.

I used to study criminal justice in high school and knew that it had to reported. I was scared out of my mind, this man threatened me and my family after he raped me. But I knew that someone had to stand up against the violence.

That is precisly why I have started The Don't Keep Silent Campaign. To put the word out that "Silence is not always Golden." Rape and sexual asult is something that no one should ever have to go through. So protect the ones you love, "STAND UP, SPEAK OUT"
