Meteor Garden I, II & Meteor Rain

METEOR GARDEN CAST DESCRIPTION

    SHAN CAI - played by Makino Tsukushi (BARBIE), 25 yrs old. She is the female lead of the story Meteor Garden ( Liu Xing Hua Yuan ). She plays a 19 year old ordinary girl with strong & kind personality. She has no siblings. Her parents sent her to an axclusive university hoping she would marry a rich man. She has a few best friends, Qing He, Xiao You & Li Zhen. She is Dao Ming Si's love interest.

   DAO MING SI - played by Jerry Yen. He is the male lead of the story. He is the obnoxious leader of F4. He thinks that money can buy anything until he meets shan cai & realizes that he cannot buy her. He used to have a fiery temper. However, Shan Cai is the only one who can make him control his temper.

 HUA ZE LEI - played by Vic Zhou. He is the quiet type in F4. The kindest one out of the four & is a very good friend. His first love interest is Jing but they had no good ending. In the middle of the series, he falls for Shan Cai but remains a good friend because he knows that Dao Ming Si really loves Shan Cai.

   XI MEN - played by Ken Zhu. He is the closest friend to Mei Zhuo. He is the womanizer of the four. He has a new girlfriend every single week. However, when a couragious Xiao You confesses her love for him, he sort of changed for a while. But at the end, he is still the "womanizer".

   MEI ZHUO - played by Vannes Wu. He is the joker of the four. He's similar to Xi Men except that there's no female character for him. He is also a very loyal friend.  

      TENG TANG JING -  played by Winnie Qian Wei Shan. In the story, she's Lei's first crush and only love. She's also from a rich family but she doesn't go around showing it to people.. A great friend of F4 since childhood. She also has feelings for Lei but they somehow didn't work out. She's really nice to Shan Cai. Shan Cai wishes she was Jing.

    FOR METEOR GARDEN 2 - added cast :   

  YE SHA (XU ER) - played by Michelle Alicia Saram, born Dec. 12, 1974, a chinese-indian girl but have no chinese name. She uses her mother's surname in the chinese showbiz. She's a Singaporean. In the story, she will be the new love interest of  Dao Ming Si (who will have amnesia due to car accident and will forget all about Shan Cai).

METEOR RAIN

 A four hour-long episodes, also called the side stories of Meteor Garden, because they’re 3 separate stories for each of the F3, namely, Dao Ming Si, Xi Men and Mei Zhuo. They happened in different times..before, during or after Meteor Garden. Vic didn’t have time to film one story of his own. According to source he was working on The Poor Prince at that time.

 Three Chapters in Meteor Rain series

1. Mei-Zhuo Chapter – Mei Zhuo’s purse is stolen by a Japanese girl wandering in Taiwan. But he is attracted by this girl’s character. A touching story then begins.

  2.Xi Men Chapter – Xi Men reunited with his previous girlfriend from Canada, played by Xiao Gen. She is Xi Men’s childhood friend and the only girl he never made a pass on. Probably she is also the only girl he ever loved.

  3. Dao Ming Si Chapter – Dao Ming Si encounters a foster-father and a daughter by accident. This is the first time he learns about the importance of fortune. The daughter, Xin-Xin is a little girl who refuses to talk & has the same birthday date as Dao Ming Si. She wanted him to bring her to see the meteor rain. The foster father is running from law apparently because he abducted Xin-Xin to get her away from her abusive biological father.
