DO IT AFRAID

My Father said, "The task I have given you to do
I know is difficult, but I have confidence in you
I know you can do it, and yes, I know you're afraid
But don't let fear stop you, for strength you have prayed"
"Do it afraid, I'm right by your side
Do it afraid, with you I abide
My child, move ahead, show you are brave
I'm holding your hand, so do it afraid"
When my task was completed, I felt a release
For the fears I embraced, were replaced by sweet peace
Not thru strength of my own, was I able to run
Thru the strength of my Father, I got the job done
I did it afraid, He didn't leave my side
I did it afraid, with me He abides
I pressed on ahead, I showed I was brave
He's still holding my hand, I'm no longer afraid
