Today is the real day we should be

announcing your birth

Our hearts should be rejoicing filled

with happiness and with mirth

But you, sweet child, in this world

have come and gone

You haven’t left our hearts but you have

gone to your new home

I know you are happy as in the

arms of Jesus you take rest

And though our hearts are grieving now

by your presence we were blessed

When the bough broke

you didn’t fall to the ground

An angel caught you up and

now you’re safe and sound

The angel gently carried you

to heaven fair

And now you rest peacefully

in Jesus’ rocking chair
