BAD TRADERS AND HOW TO AVOID THEM |
Things to watch forwhen trading cards on the Net.
There are so many things to watch for on the Net I meant for this page
to be soley created for various information all in one stop. Some
will be information that is just that a tool, advice, etc. as nothing
here is warranted. If you need any information just contact me at
Doniceage@hotmail.com or anyone that I address in this page.
If your new to the trading game welcome to one of the best ways to add
cards that you would like to get by trading and creating friends along
the way. Trust me you will meet guys and gals that you would help
out anytime as they will send your freebies and stuff just to make your
day. So remember those as it always appreciated to recieve a
special freebie.
When you trade on the net make sure after you have NEGOTIATED that
trade that you cover yourself. As a lot of places are just that
and their is no place to post the trade. Sites as Beckett,
Sites such as SCS, HI, SCF have places where you post the trade. In the end you need to watch out for yourself.
1) Do you have the deal posted anywhere or a referral of what was
exacted to change hands (TRADE AGREEMENT). Always nice to have a
note of what exaclty was to change hands especially if your trading a
lot of cards.
2) Keep the address until the trade is completed as it alwasy nice to
have the Contact Information. You woudl be amazed how many people
just throw away the Addy once the package is sent out. If you
don't recieve and are asked for their addy how are you going to be able
to find the person or ask for help.
3) Delivery Confirmation or Signature Confirmation-In Del Confirmation
as least you have proof that the package was delivered to the
house. I mean something could happen but the likely hood of them
not recieving is greatly reduced. With Signature Confrimation you
know they got it as they had to sign it and you can look up either
methods on the Net for tracking purposes. Nothing like a .55
cents or a $1.35 for Signature Confirmation.
4) Taking a look at the cards once you recive. There is nothing
worse than noticing a card is damaged at the time of delivery.
Make sure you take the cards out of the Plastic Sleeve, Screw Down's,
etc. to make sure all the corners are fit. As sometimes things
can look okay when still in a soft-sleeve and semi-rigid. Last
but not least you have a timely communication set up to deal with the
Trader if something went wrong. Nothing like waiting a few weeks
to say man that card you sent me was damaged or you pass it onto
another trader only to be told it damaged (SO CHECK IT!!!)
5) Insurance-If it a valuable card you can always make sure you use
Insurance to cover up to the dollar amount you are paying so your
covered. It takes a while to get the money from the P.O. but in
the long run it worth it especially on high end cards. Better
late than never.
