HST

I do hope you enjoy these downloads.  I will add to them from time to time, so keep checking back.  If you have a fast internet connection, then they should not take long to download, but dial up connections will take longer.

HST1.AVI

An afternoon GNER HST hurtles past the photographer en route to Aberdeen.  Sadly, the power had just come off as the driver had received a double yellow.

More HST

HST3.AVI

Later in the day another GNER HST races north.

Railfreight heaven!

WARNING - LARGE FILE!

A tarmac JGA-formed stone train passes an automotive train at speed.

Engineer's train

47.wmv

An old 47 hauls empty spoil wagons en route to a nearby engineering possession.

Deltic-hauled Virgin

Deltic clip.wmv

A deltic hammers past the photographer on a northbound cross-country express for Virgin, taking it back to its old stamping ground.

Motorail

Automotive47s.wmv

Two rakes of the excellent Electrotren car-carrying wagons (availaible from the ever-helpful Modern Structures in Miniature - http://www.m-s-i-m.co.uk) pass one another at speed on the mainline.  On the up relief an MGR train has been stopped by a hot axlebox detector and awaits the arrival of fitters.

37 with sound

This download illustrates my recently-acquired sound decoder.  It is quite the most fantastic development and adds an additional dimension to the whole layout.  But, be warned, it is so good that you will want to equip your entire fleet just for the thrill of seeing sound-equipped locomotives power up and down as they propel their trains.  The decoders come ready equipped with the sound and are available from the excellent www.southwestdigital.co.uk.  Enjoy!

Double-headed 37s with sound

I was so impressed with the Southwest Digital sound decoder that I immediately purchased two more that are now fitted to 37 419 and 37 699 respectively.  Here, these locos haul a heavy MGR train away from a signal check, with the driver evidently struggling to keep the ammeter out of the red.

66 135 at speed with a rake of HTAs

A brand new 66 135 sweeps past the photographer at speed with a pristine rake of equally new loaded HTA coal hoppers.

47 334 rushes through Doncaster station at speed with a heavy northbound train of wagons from the Channel Tunnel

A depot worker captures 50 035 and 50 004 as they thunder past with a railtour. The train is about to pass through Doncaster non-stop and is travelling at 100 mph

The same railtour passes through Doncaster station

Double-headed Fragonset 31s upset the peace at Doncaster as they restart a heavy charter after a signal check

These Hornby 31s are both fitted with Southwest Digital's class 31 sound decoder which is, in my view, their best to date.  Enjoy!
