Although primarily a modern-image layout, the reality is that the standard of models now available from the major manufacturers in general (and Hornby in particular) is such that one is compelled to purchase a number of items than can only really be justified if running around at the head of railtours.  The recently-released (and absolutely superb) model of Mallard joins Clan Line and King Henry II (owned by my father) as a regular.  Flying Scotsman will no-doubt feature as soon as she emerges from Hornby's Chinese workshops.
