What is A Dog Park?

A dog park is a fenced off area that can range in size from .5 of an acre to 15 acres. A dog park must include:

  • A 4-foot fence or taller
  • A double gated entry
  • Shade (natural and man-made)
  • Water, drinking fountains for both dogs and humans, some dog parks have swimming quarters.
  • A parking lot
  • Covered Garbage Cans
  • Pooper Scooper station with plastic bags
  • Benches
  • A wheel chair access
