Doggy Deeds... Done Dirt Cheap!

FAQ

Do you work through the winter?

Yes, we provide a year round service. Your pets don’t stop their business and neither “doo” we. The weather may occasionally delay a cleaning but if it’s possible to get there and clean, we’ll be there for you!

What happens when it rains or snows?

We work under most weather conditions. Snow, very cold weather or severe rainstorms may prevent us from providing pooper scooper service that week. We will continue your service the following scheduled service day, weather permitting. Of course you will not be charged for a missed / skipped appointment.

Can my dog be out at the time of service?

In most cases, we don’t mind at all if your dog is in the yard. However, if it becomes apparent that your dog will not allow us to clean your yard, we will contact you to inform you of the problem. We will then ask that you restrain or confine it to ensure the safety of your dog and our staff. If we “doo” not reach anyone then we will leave you a note explaining what happened.  You will still be charged for the service visit and we will be back on your next scheduled visit.

Should I unlock my gate?

Yes, we prefer not to climb or jump fences. Please have the gate unlocked on your service day. You may furnish us with a key, provide the location of a hidden key or supply us with the combination to your lock. Please provide this information at time of sign up.  To save time, hassles & missed service, most clients get a combination lock so no key is needed nor lost.

What do you "doo" with the pet waste?

We offer 2 choices to our customers:

We double bag the dog poop and leave it in a trash receptacle or a designated area of your choice.

We haul away the collected dog poop from your property for an additional fee.

Can I use my dog's waste as fertilizer for my lawn?

Unlike horse and cow manure, dog and cat waste is protein based.  This means that it will burn and kill vegetation. It is also incredibly hazardous. As a matter of fact, it is by definition labeled as “hazardous waste” by our most important environmental agencies. Also, bacteria contained in dog excrement left on the ground can live for months in the soil, contaminating our water supply as well as posing a threat to children who often play on the ground in their yards and neighborhood parks.

What if I need to skip my Pet Waste Service day?

If you would like to put your service on hold when your dog is gone from the yard, for up to a month, we will put your service on hold with no charge to your account. This will allow for vacations or any personal reason you may have. 24-hour advance notice is required to avoid being charged. Also, there will be no charge for service missed due to extreme weather conditions or extenuating circumstances.

Can I cancel at any time?

There are no long-term contracts for our residential customers however, there is a simple agreement we will have you sign. It allows us to be in your yard and states that you will pay for the good job that we “doo”. It also states that you can cancel any time with as little as 24 hours notice.

What about holidays?

Service will not be provided on the following days: New Year's, Thanksgiving Day, Memorial Day, Christmas Eve Day/Christmas Day, Independence Day and Labor Day.  We will send out notices reminding you of this as these days approach.

Do I have to be home to have my service provided?

If you are not going to be home, we would like your pets to be inside your house or have someone available to let them in if they are outside. We like to create the safest environment possible for our staff a to work in.

Can I request a certain day or time of day?

We will gladly try to accommodate just about any request you may have.  If you need for us to guarantee an exact time or even a window of time during the day, we will happily accommodate this request, however, the cost associated will be considerably higher for this customized service schedule. The same applies to specific day requests. We are in each area on certain days. This allows us to service clients reasonably close to one another on the same day and thus keep your prices low. Requesting service on a day we are not in your area would normally require considerable drive time to get to and from your residence and thus would require a significant extra charge.

Although there are a lot of factors that can influence the time we arrive at your property such as new clients, big jobs, weather, traffic, etc., we will normally arrive around the same time each week (but again, this is not guaranteed at standard pricing). Your service will be performed on the same day each week unless weather or some other serious issue delays your cleaning.

Is it possible to get a one-time only service?

Sure, one-time-only or short-term service is always available. We offer this service to our customers who choose to clean up after their own pets but occasionally fall behind.  By calling us in to give your yard a good clean, we are offering you a clean slate to once again start your poo hunting duties.

Why in the world would I hire someone to clean my yard or property?

There is simply no end to the reasons why someone would want to hire us to clean their yard.  It could be as simple as you hate to “doo” it and you know no one else is going to “doo” it or it could be that you have limited physical abilities.

Other reasons include:

  • You simply don’t have the time to keep up with your dog’s weekly “gifts.”
  • You find the chore disgusting and your gag reflexes are not very strong.
  • Fear of getting any of the disease carrying bacteria or parasites found in your dog’s poo.
  • Your family tends to get into heated battles over whose turn it is to round up the brown piles.
  • You own several dogs and have noted that their poop production could put an elephant to shame.
  • Your lawn service requires the yard to be cleaned at least once per week.
  • Your lawn and garden is looking more like a toxic waste dump then lush and green.

No matter what reason, it is a chore that has to be done and we are happy to “doo” it.
