What is a Bo?

A Bo is a mans best friend, Bo originates from country and western music, they always describe losing their dog called Bo on the open highway, now truckers took this in to account and made a sport of it. Bo or Boe is a slang word for road kill, this name also happened to become quite popular for dogs who lived near open highway stretches in the 1910's and that name has been called to their dogs to this very day.

How did the sport Bo'ing become favourite among truck drivers?

Bo'ing originated back in the 1930's when a truck driver got bored on the A6, he looked straight ahead and could see, just on the horizon a dog in the road, now this truck driver was just a regular guy, bored senseless from driving on the road for 18 hours straight (this is now illegal to drive more than 8 hours without a rest) so he thought, just for kicks, to run the dog down. Now unfortunatly on this occasion, the truck driver missed, but this was soon corrected by his friend who happened to be driving just behind him in his 18 wheeler truck. He hit Bo instead and broadcast over his CB radio to his friend who missed ' I got that little Bo right between the eyes, I think I still got part of his skull stuck on the underside of my truck'  Later on the friends washed off the blood stained trailer and decided to have a contest when ever they drove together on the highway. The one with the most remains on their truck or trailer were declared the winner, and the loser had to wash off both trucks and trailers

When was Bo'ing legalised

Bo'ing was legalised back in 1952 after the great Bo epidemic, where it changed its name briefly to Bo-culling. All the local communities to open highways tried to get a petition signed by over 10,000 people to stop this growing sport. But this failed as only 23 people signed the petition, this was due to the fact that most of these people were Bo baiters, they would, for a price, breed Bo and release them onto the highway to fend for themselves.
