We will be adding the finished compost to new veggie beds, hopefully tomorrow, provided the rain hold off a bit.I plant on getting in some transplants, tomatoes, peppers, and cukes as soon as the ground is finished. I'll use old milk jugs to act as cloches until the danger of frost has past.I have seed potatoes cut up and callusing over, hopefully they well be ready to plant on the ground by tomorrow. I've had poor success with seed potatoes ordered from the internet this year. I had to send one batch back as they were rotted. I intend to ask around and see if I can find a web supplier who can get the seed to me in a more timely fashion. I like the choices of varieties available, but I'm not use to having to start so late. Normally my potatoes are in by March 17. Very frustrating.
