PROCEDURE FOR GIVING THE MEDS TO YOUR DOG

AMINOCAPROIC ACID (EACA) When you wake up, take a 3 ml (or cc) syringe that Westlab should have supplied you with (if you didn't get the EACA from Westlab, you paid too much) and put it in the EACA and draw out 2 ccs or mls, then clean the tip with hot water and then draw 1 cc or 1ml of low fat low sodium chicken broth. Take the syringe and slowly squeeze it down the side of your doggie's mouth. Store the EACA in the cabinet and store the chicken broth in the fridge. Repeat the procedure when you come home and again before you go to sleep--3 times a day- don't worry about doing it exactly every 8 hours. Do it 3 times a day at a schedule that you can live with. Eventually, you won't before able to draw the EACA out of the bottle so transfer it to a small jar. EACA is stored in your cabinent.

N-ACETYLCYSTEINE (N-AC) (store in refrigerator). Give 3 time a day for first 2 weeks then 3 times a day every other day. Same time when your dog gets the EACA. Use the 12 cc syringe that Westlab should have supplied. Once in the morning once when you come home and once before you go to bed. Draw 5-6 ccs (depends on the weight of your dog ask Westlab to do the math based on your dog's weight) and place it in a small bowl then add 3 times as much broth to the mixture. Thus, if you are to give 5 ccs of N-AC, you add 15 ccs of broth, etc.. Hopefully the doggie will lick it up. If not, ask nicely. If not, use the squirting method however be sure to squirt it slowly down the side of the doggies mouth. As with the EACA, eventually you will have to transfer the N-AC to a small jar. Salsa jars work nicely. Be sure to keep the broth and N-AC in the fridge.

ANTIOX-QCB or ANTIOXQ. Stored in cabinet do not refrigerate. Give twice a day. Morning and evening. Be careful, this stuff will stain everything. Some dogs will drink the stuff. If not, use the squeezing method. Draw 5-6 ccs (again depends on the weight of the dog) with the 6 cc syringe Westlab should supply and squirt down the side of mouth. Warning, the container Westlab provides is useless. First thing you have to do is cut the whole container open and scoop out all the Antioxq or cb and put it in a glass jar. Again, a salsa jar holds a full month's worth. Then you must (MUST), stir it up making sure it becomes a mixture. Again, squirt slowly down the side of the mouth. However, near the end of the month when the mixture becomes thick, many dogs will lick it right off the spoon used to mix the stuff. A tablespoon seems to be just about right. However, make sure that you have a bowl under your doggie's mouth as the dog licks the spoon and then have him or her lick the bowl. Beware and be careful, Antioxq stains everything

ANY pills (aspirin, green tea vitamin C or anything one decides to use). Dip them in low fat low sodium cream cheese. If your doggie doesn't lick them right up, try peanut butter.
