About the Park

Since Drayton Manor first opened to the public in 1949 it has established a thriving theme park, zoo and two museums. Rides include Europes only stand up roller coaster-The Shockwave, Excalibur, Apocalypse and the heavily themed Storm Force 10. Set in 250 acres of Staffordshire country side they now attract over a million visitors each year. Every year they try to install inovative designs to compete with their main competitor Alton Towers. This year additions include Pandemonium and a Rocking Tug. Riders are positioned around the central lake in areas such as Fishermans Wharf and Action Park.
